The Racquetball Junior Nationals 2023 was a huge success, with a 10% increase in participation from last year. This is a great sign for the future of the sport, as it shows that more and more young people are getting involved in racquetball.
The young racquetball players at the Junior Nationals held at Pleasanton, California were like the golden state sunshine. They were bright, cheerful, full of energy, skilled, and determined. The adorable 6U and 8U athletes were a joy to watch, especially their curiosity in figuring out the racquetball rules and following the multi-bounces.
One of the most inspiring things about the Junior Nationals was seeing the dedication of the parents who were there to support their children. They were there to cheer them on, offer advice, and help them through difficult matches. 111 (one-hundred-and-eleven) players competed in the 2023 Junior Nationals Racquetball Championship and the good news is that the trend has been rising steadily. Here’s couple of charts depicting the growth since 2021:

The Junior Nationals is a great opportunity for young racquetball players to compete against the best in the country and learn from more experienced players and coaches. The future of racquetball is bright, thanks to the dedication of parents and the enthusiasm of young athletes. As a parent, I’m so proud of my kids for all their hard work. I’m excited to see what the next generation of racquetball stars will accomplish!
